Quote Of The Week

"Ability has nothing to do with opportunity"
---Napoleon

Dear Readers,

"A very happy new year"

RFID technology is going to generate mountains of data about the location of pallets, cases, cartons, totes and individual products in the supply chain. Radio frequency identification (RFID) and Electronic Product Code (EPC) technologies promise to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce shrinkage by providing more accurate tracking of goods and assets throughout the chain.

Speaking at Forrester Research's Executive Strategy Forum, SAP executive board member Claus Heinrich praised radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, urging suppliers and manufacturers to get on the RFID bandwagon, lest they risk being left behind with antiquated technology.

The adoption of RFID technology is inevitable. Its transformational promise, huge. But the success of RFID in your business depends on your infrastructure. Here's what you need to know about RFID. Your feedback helps us in bringing the latest update on Logistics and Supply Chain to you. We welcome you to post your Suggestions and Comments on our weekly newsletter.

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect is defining and negotiating the actual contract. Understanding the software contracts process and the risks associated is what truly makes an informed, knowledgeable buyer, and results in the buyer getting the best solution for the minimal investment.
